Connecting Coinbase Wallet & OpenSea

Before you start purchasing the NFTs, it’s important to connect OpenSea with the Coinbase wallet, and the following steps will help;

  • Download and install the Coinbase Wallet; you will receive the 12-word recovery or seed phrase, so make sure you save it. In addition, you have to set the password
  • Now, open the official OpenSea website and choose the wallet symbol from the top of the screen
  • There will be a list of wallets, including WalletConnect, Coinbase Wallet, and MetaMask, so just select the Coinbase Wallet
  • An extension will pop up, asking for permission. Keep in mind that if you give them permission, OpenSea will be able to see the wallet balance and start sending transaction requests (the transactions cannot be approved without your permission)
  • Hit the connect button, and the connection is established!

Purchasing The NFTs

Now that the OpenSea and Coinbase Wallet are connected, you can start purchasing your desired NFTs by following the below-mentioned steps;

  • Open the Coinbase Wallet and choose the DApp browser option
  • Open OpenSea by entering www.opensea.io in the URL bar
  • Now, open the NFT listing and click on the NFT you want to purchase
  • A new window will open, and you’ve to tap on the “buy now” option to purchase the NFT at the listed price. However, you can also make a price offer by tapping on “make an offer
    option
  • Whichever option you choose, you have to agree to the terms and conditions of OpenSea
  • Then, choose the “confirm checkout” button
  • Click on the pay button
  • Now, open the Coinbase Wallet app and open the NFTs tab. In this window, you will be able to see the NFTs when the transaction is processed

In case you are using the browser extension, you will need to accept the connection from the wallet. On the other hand, if you are using the smartphone app, you’ve to scan the QR code to establish a connection.

What To Do If You Are Unable To See NFTs In The Coinbase Wallet?

Purchasing an NFT always seems like a step in the right direction. So, if you have purchased an NFT through Coinbase Wallet, good for you!

Format

If you are unable to see the NFTs in the Coinbase Wallet, you need to remember that it only supports the NFTs based on Polygon and ETH networks. Moreover, it doesn’t support any NFT that is utilized or if it was developed through the lazy minting of OpenSea. Having said that, such NFTs won’t appear in the wallet, even if they are stored there.

In simpler words, you can only see the NFTs in Coinbase Wallet if they are GIF or image formats. So, if you purchased an NFT that was made by the lazy minting feature or is based on a video, just shift to a different wallet!

Syncing Delay

The second reason your NFT is not appearing in the Coinbase Wallet is when the data is not synced. Remember that if a company is using server-side caching to optimize the performance, it will result in syncing delays. Usually, the syncing delay is not more than thirty minutes to sixty minutes, so just wait it out.

Conclusion

Both OpenSea and Coinbase Wallet are the leaders in their fields, and connecting them will surely provide a cutting-edge experience. So, are you ready to stock up on some nice NFTs?
